On Nov. 24, 2012, Hangzhou Metro Line 1 was officially put into commercial operation. With a total length of 48km, it is the trunk line connecting downtown Hangzhou with such areas as the south of the Qiantang River, Linping and Xiasha. Hydrochina Huadong, as one of the main design units, undertook design for five metro stations (including surface and underground stations) and interzone design for about 10km. Throughout the implementation process, Hydrochina Huadong provided excellent design and services and accordingly won recognition from the project owner and relevant units. Two underground stations designed by Hydrochina Huadong were elected as the design model stations. At present, the stations designed by Hydrochina Huadong are all in good operation.

In addition, Hydrochina Huadong undertook the rail transit design in Ningbo, Fuzhou and Hefei cities and earned the approbation of the parties concerned and repeatedly won the title of “Rail TransitCivil Design Winner”. Besides, Hydrochina Huadong has undertaken risk assessment and safety monitoring work for rail transit construction of several cities. Under the strategic guidance of Hydrochina Corporation, Hydrochina Huadong took part in Shenzhen Metro Line 7 Project and assumed design consultation and management for the project.

Through ten years of efforts, Hydrochina Huadong’s design capacity and level in rail transit business have been widely recognized in the sector.
