On Jan. 28, 2013, the Thuong Kontum Hydropower Project Department of Hydrochina Huadong-CR 18G Consortiumwas awarded the honorary title of “2012 Outstanding Contractor” by Vinh Son-Song Hinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company of Vietnam. Mr. Tu Zhuming, project manager, was elected “Outstanding Individual” for his brilliant performance in the construction of Thuong Komtum HPP in 2012.  

Thuong Kontum HPP is the first international EPC contracting project on the road of strategic transformation of Hydrochina Huadong. The water conveyance and power generation system of the Project totals about 20km, of which, the headrace tunnel, about 18km long, is featured by long tunnel, small section and long longitudinal slopes, so both the construction drainage and ventilation are facing a severe test. 

Throughout 2012, the Project Department of Hydrochina Huadong-CR 18G Consortium carried out the corporate spirit of 'Responsibility, Efficiency, Win-win', overcame a series of management bottlenecks, technical challenges and construction difficulties arisen in the course of performance of the EPC contract for the water conveyance and power generation system. The project team fulfilled its duties, withstood the difficulties and pressures, and realized the good situation of overall construction in all working faces, thus, earning the approbation of the project owner and winning the honor for the EPC contracting projects of Hydrochina Huadong.
