Hydrochina Huadong received the formal letter of acceptance from Fuzhou Urban Metro Co., Ltd. on March 5 for the design of Fuzhou Metro Line 2.

The design package of Hydrochina Huadong includes 9 stations and 10 intervals with a total investment of 2.49 billion yuan. In the package, there are two river-crossing shield intervals, one cross interchange station, and two downtown 3-floor non-standard stations. Therefore, it is technologically complex and there exist numerous controlling factors for design.

Starting with the Hangzhou Metro Line 1 Project, Hydrochina Huadong has been involved in the rail transit field since 2006. Afterwards, it has successively undertaken the engineering design and/or consultation for metro projects in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Hefei, etc., amounting to 54 stations and about 73km intervals. Among them, 5 stations with about 11km intervals have been put into operation, and 49 stations with about 62km intervals are under design and/or construction. With years of experience accumulation and development, Hydrochina Huadong has become an outstanding design company for rail transit projects in China, and there are over 150 professionals engaged in the design of this sector.

The award of this contract stands for a new breakthrough of Hydrochina Huadong in the rail transit market and further upgrade of its market brand and reputation.
