On the morning of March 21, 2013, the Information Technology Center, the Digital Engineering Center and the Overseas Business Department conducted in-depth communications and exchanges on the informationization and digitalization demands of the related international business in the process of transformation of Hydrochina Huadong.

At the symposium, the Information Technology Center and the Digital Engineering Center introduced first the present conditions of the network system, communication system, office system and related information technology support system, 3D digital application, etc. They also introduced the information and digital achievements in terms of “network telephone, satellite communications, telephone conference system, integrated communications, project management system, large document exchange system, 3D ProjectWiseand the project life cycle management”, as well as the possibility to provide technical support and services for the overseas business by using the aforesaid achievements. In addition, they discussed the new information and digital technologies and new application fields in international business in the future with the leaders of the Overseas Business Department.

In combination with overseas business, the Overseas Business Department introduced the characteristics of overseas business and put forward the needs and expectations for information and digital technologies in the business transformation. A consensus was reached on seven information application matters to be pushed on recently, including “site management information system for overseas projects, telephone conferences, LYNC network video system, foreign affairs management system, equipment completing and procurement management system, large file transfer system, application of 3D digital results, etc.”. Both sides hope to further establish long-term communication mechanism, do a better job in organization and coordination of informatization and digitization for overseas business, strengthen IT infrastructure building for overseas business, improve practicability of information application system, and provide good informationized support for the overseas business.
