From 26 to 28 April 2013, Fuzhou Urban Metro Co., Ltd. hosted a three-day meeting to review the overall design of Fuzhou Metro Line 2 Project. 21 members of the expert panel from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Wuxi, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Fuzhou were invited to the meeting and they reviewed the overall design by groups. The representatives of Hydrochina Huadong, the design party, attended the meeting.

The participants listened to the reports made respectively by the unit responsible for overall technique of the project, the consultant and Hydrochina Huadong. After reconnaissance of the metro line, the experts carefully read the relevant documents and information. Through the exchange and discussion, all the experts agreed that: it is of high difficulty to implement Fuzhou Metro Line 2 Project, the overall design documents prepared by Hydrochina Huadong for the package are complete, the technical standards adopted are reasonable, the design concept is clear, and the design scheme is reasonable and feasible; the standards adopted are in line with the requirements of Code for Design of Metro and the current national specifications, the design border program is basically stable, the construction methods are viable, the design depth has met the requirements for preparation of overall design, so the overall design can be taken as the basis for preliminary design in next stage.

On March 5, 2013, Hydrochina Huadong won Design Package 1 of Fuzhou Metro Line 2 Project. With a total investment of 2.49 billion yuan, the package covers 9 stations and 10 intervals. So far, it is the domestic largest design package since the implementation of design tendering and bidding in the rail transit industry.
