All the 39 WTGs of Chashan Wind Farm designed by Hydrochina Huadong were put into commercial operation on June 28, 2013.

With a total installed capacity of 58.5MW, Chashan Wind Farm is equipped with thirty-nine 1.5MW WTGs. So far, it is the largest wind farm put into operation in Zhejiang. Located in Chashan in the northeastern Ninghai County, 600m-850m above sea level, it is a typical coastal mountain wind farm. It can provide 130 million kW.h of clean energy to the power grid every year. Meanwhile, it will promote the further development of local tourism and add luster to the natural wonder of “Cloud Top in East Sea”.

In engineering design, driven by the corporate mission “Providing engineering services and promoting the harmonious development between Man and Nature”, Hydrochina Huadong attached great importance to energy-saving and eco-environmental protection design, vigorously applied new workmanship and new technologies, and adopted pre-stressed anchor rod foundationfor the first time which turns out to be a complete success. Besides, the solar energy was first used in the substation as farm-service power supply to realize wind and solar power complementation, which fully represents the energy-saving and environment-friendly features of the project.
