Hydropower and Water Resources Planning and Design General Institute collaborated with Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Zhejiang Energy Bureau to hold a review meeting for the pre-feasibility study report of Ninghai Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Hangzhou on 28-29 August 2013.          

Ninghai PSP with an installed capacity of 1400MW is located in Ninghai County, Ningbo City, 170km to Hangzhou and 55km to Ningbo. It will mainly undertake peak regulation, trough filling, frequency regulation, condenser operation and emergency standby for Zhejiang power grid. Before the meeting, partial experts and representatives went to the project site for investigation. At the meeting, the participants listened to the report by Hydrochina Huadong on the main design results and subsequently, discussion and deliberation were carried out in groups. The meeting reached the conclusion that the contents and work depth of the said report meet the requirements of code for preparation of prefeasibility study report and the report was adopted.
