On August 20, accompanied by relevant leaders from Hydrochina Huadong, Mr. Gong Xiaosheng, Chinese Ambassador in Turkey, and Mr. Zhu Guangyao, Economic and Commercial Counselor inspected the construction site of KARAKUZHydropower Project in Adana Province of southern Turkey, an electromechanical equipment EPC contracting project undertaken by Hydrochina Huadong.

The Ambassador firstly inspected the powerhouse under construction, inquired about the project construction, and emphasized the safety measures so as to avoid casualties. Then the Ambassador held talks with the Turkey Employer’s project manager and civil engineers, the Hydrochina Huadong inspection team and Hydrochina Huadong’s representatives in Turkey. After listening to the project presentation by Turkey representative and the working report by Chinese representative, Mr. Gong pointed out that the government encourages enterprises to implement the “going global strategy” and encourages qualified companies to develop overseas contracted projects. Also, he introduced the current development trends of Turkey and encouraged Chinese enterprises to seize the opportunities of rapid Turkish economic development over recent years and to strive to contract more projects. Finally, he presented gifts to the Hydrochina Huadong KARAKUZ HPP Site Management Department and the staff on behalf of the embassy.
