Recently, Hydrochina Huadong received the Letter of Acceptance for Putian Chenghan River Landscape and Flood Control Project issued by Putian Urban Garden Services Co., Ltd. After several rounds of comparisons for this project, the bidding process lasted nearly for one year, finally, the planning and design scheme of Hydrochina Huadong ranked first in bid evaluation and the contract was awarded to Hydrochina Huadong.

The project is envisaged to build two river channels with a total length of 26.2km. The project has an estimated total investment of about RMB 1.5 billion and its main construction contents include the 30-50m-wide lichee forest ecological landscape at both river banks, urban greenways, waterfront landscape works, flood control works, sewage interception pipeline network, and investment in development of the peripheral commercial and residential land, etc. The project aims to build an urban ecological greening gallery landscape system with “clear water, smooth river-way, green river banks, nice landscape, livableness and prosperity” and the functions of culture, tourism and sports, and fully reflecting the characteristics of “Lichee forest watery town” in order to enhance the cultural quality of Putian City and improve the living environment, and accelerate the construction of livable Putian and the rural-urban integration.

This project, as another large-scale ecological and water conservancy project undertaken by Hydrochina Huadong, will play an importance role in building up Hydrochina Huadong brand in the water conservancy market of Fujian Province after the Taoxi River Basin Integrated Improvement Project in Yongchun County.
