On Oct. 1, 2013, No.3 unit of Jinping-II Hydropower Station was subjected to 72h trial run, and officially put into operation. This is another good news after the first batch of units(No.1, No. 2 ) put into operation. During the 72h testrun, the unit was in stable operation and all the systems of the power station were in normal operation basically. The trial run of the unit was ended at 17:26 on Oct. 1, and subject to the approval of the dispatching center, it was directly put into commercial operation.  

Since September, the designers had been actively participating in water-filling of the water conveyance system, and unit testing, etc. even during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day. Water filling of No. 2 headrace tunnel and the penstock was started respectively on Sep. 5 and Sep. 14, and the unit was started up for testing in the power station on Sep. 15, and grid-connection testing and 72h test run were commenced respectively on Sep. 24 and Sep. 28.
