At 23:02 on Oct. 19, 2013, No.4 generating unit of Jinping-II Hydropower Station has successfully undergone the 72h trial run, during which the unit was in stable operation and all systems of the power station were in normal operation. Approved by the dispatching center, the unit was directly switched to commercial operation. The second group of the units (No.3 and No.4) of the Jinping-IIwas, by then, successfully put into commercial operation and the annual target of the project construction was successfully completed.

This is another significant event since smooth operation of the first group of the units (No.1 and No. 2) at the end of last year and No.3 unit at the beginning of this October. The accumulated capacity of the Jinping-II installed in 2013 reaches half of the total, which lays a solid base for all the units to be put into commercial operation in the next year.
