Hydropower and Water Resources Planning and Design General Institute, jointly with Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Anhui Energy Bureau, held a review meeting for the pre-feasibility study report of Jinzhai Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Hefei on 13-15 November 2013. Before the meeting, partial experts and representatives went to the project site for investigation. At the meeting, Hydrochina Huadong gave presentation of main investigation and design results obtained in feasibility study stage and then discussion and deliberation were conducted by professional groups. It was thought by the review that the said report has reached the work depth requirements for investigation and design in feasibility study stage and the report was approved basically.

Jinzhai PSP with an installed capacity of 1200MW is located in Jinzhai County, Anhui Province. It will mainly undertake peak regulation, trough filling, frequency regulation, condenser operation, emergency standby and black start for Anhui power grid. The said “Pre-feasibility Study Report of Jinzhai Pumped Storage Project” successfully passed review, marking a new milestone for the construction of Jinzhai Pumped Storage Power Station.
