Recently, Hydrochina Huadong won the EPC contract of Zhaoshu Island Improvement and Protection Project(Zhaoshu Island Renewable Energy System Project). This is its second multi-purpose isolated micro-grid project built by use of clean energy after the Wind Power - Solar Power –Diesel Power -Seawater Desalination Integrated System Project in Dongfushan Island. This project has great significance to the study of Hydrochina Huadong and Powerchina on isolated micro-grid system, comprehensive utilization of clean energy, island self-circulation system and so forth.

Zhaoshu Island Improvement and Protection Project is located in the beautiful Zhaoshu Island of Xisha Islands, about 300km from Hainan Island. In the island, there are the southernmost villagers committee in our country, and the national territorial sea base point. It is envisaged for the project to solve the electricity and water issues of the islanders through the construction of the renewable energy system in the island including wind power, solar power, and seawater desalination, etc.
