From 19 to 21 November 2013, a review meeting for Feasibility Study Report of Xiamen Pumped Storage Project(PSP) was held in Xiamen by  Hydropower and Water Resource Planning and Design General Institute together with Fujian Development and Reform Commission and Fujian Energy Bureau. Before the meeting, some experts and representatives took part in the site investigation. In the meeting, Hydrochina Huadong presented the investigation and design results of feasibility study phase, and serious discussion and review were conducted by specialty groups. It was agreed at the meeting that the report satisfied the depth requirements of investigation and design work of feasibility study phase, and the report was adopted.

Xiamen PSP is located in Tingxi Town, Tong’an District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. With an installed capacity of 1400MW, the power station is a pure pumped storage power station with daily regulation performance. The project is developed to undertake such tasks as peak regulation, trough filling, frequency regulation, condenser operation, emergency standby and black start of Fujian Grid. The report’s passing review marks that the construction of Xiamen PSP has entered a new milestone.
