Recently, two more bronze plagues have been found in Zhoushan Liuheng Water Affairs Co., Ltd., namely, Seawater DesalinationTechnology R&D Center, and Seawater Desalination Engineering Technology Test Base of PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation. Since PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation became the holding company of Zhoushan Liuheng Water Affairs Co., Ltd., one of the largest seawater desalination plants in China, it is the company’s second move for acceleration of seawater desalination industrial distribution and breakthrough of the last mile work of seawater desalination commercialization. Consequently, Liuheng Island in Zhoushan is expected to become the output area of domestic desalination mainstream technology and a base for associated engineering technology tests.

The newly-run Seawater Desalination Technology R&D Center and Engineering Technology Test Base will devote themselves to technical research and development of new desalination technologies, new processes and new equipment, focus on study of key technologies for desalination equipment such as desalination and pretreatment film products, energy recovery device, high pressure pumps and high pressure circulation pumps, systems integration intelligent control equipment, etc., and carry out engineering tests on new technologies (new equipment) in order to build up the company’s  capabilities for design consulting, systems integration, equipment manufacture, engineering investment, engineering operations management for large-scale desalination projects.
