At Nigeria local time of Oct. 30, 2014, with the concerted efforts of KAINJI Project Department, the manufacture, Harbin Electric Corporation and the installation company, Sinohydro Bureau 8 Co., Ltd., the rotor of 1G5 Unit of KAINJI HPP was successfully hoisted and installed, marking a big progress for achieving the goal of power generation before Dec. 31, 2014.

    POWERCHINA HUADONG signed the Contract for the rehabilitation of KAINJI HPP in Nigeria in June 2011. The scope of the project covers the rehabilitation of 1G5, 1G6, 1G12 units and some public equipment and the work contents include equipment design, supply and installation. The successful rotor installation of the 1G5 Unit marks a phasic victory in unit installation of the project and has accordingly laid a solid foundation for achieving the goal of power generation this year.
