On the morning of October 6, local time in Trinidad and Tobago, a group of five people, headed by Mr. Huang Xingyuan, the Chinese ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, and Mr. Tang Yandi, the responsible person of Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy, inspected Malabar Sewage Treatment Project contracted by Sinohydro, accompanied by the relevant person in charge of American regional headquarters, and main leaders of the Project Owner and the Supervisor.

First, the Project Manager Zhao Yunchuan reported the basic project condition and progress to the Ambassador Huang Xingyuan, and the representative of the Project Owner and chief supervisor affirmed the efforts made by Sinohydro project team and the smooth implementation of the Project.

After hearing the report, Huang Xingyuan praised highly the construction progress, safe production, civilized construction, etc. of the Project, and at the same time he pointed out that, although Sinhydro, as a first-class enterprise in water treatment field, has undertaken many similar projects in China, Africa and the Middle East countries, the Malabar Project is Sinohydro’s first sewage treatment project in America, so he wishes that the project team can enhance communication and cooperation with the Supervisor and the Project Owner to ensure smooth implementation of the Project, make the Malabar Sewage Treatment Project a model project, so as to make positive contributions to the improvement of living quality of the people of Trinidad and Tobago, and also lay a solid foundation for Sinohydro’s future development in American market.

Then the group headed by Huang Xingyuan inspected the construction site and the project manager introduced in detail each working surface at the construction site. Huang Xingyuan praised that the working surface on concrete bottom plate of the biochemical tank is clean and tidy, and has reached the international advanced level, and praised the work enthusiasm and positive attitude of the site staff. Huang Xingyuan encouraged the project team to continuously carry forward the spirit of working hard and perseveringly, complete the Project with quality and quantity guaranteed, and win honor for our motherland.

The Project was contracted in the name of Sinohydro Corporation Limited, and implemented by a joint venture composed of Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited(HDEC) and Sinohydro Bureau 12 Co., Ltd. based on shares. Among which, HDEC undertakes main technical preparations and equipment procurement of the Project by virtue of its years of experience in municipal and water affairs engineering fields at home and abroad.
