Recently, a PPP Contract for the First Stage of Modern Tram Line 1 and Line 2 Project was signed with the government in the 22nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair held in Lanzhou.

The First Stage of Modern Tram Project in Lanzhou New Area is the first general contacting (investigation and design) railway transportation project undertaken by Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited and also the first tram project to be constructed on self-weight collapse loess.

The First Stage of Modern Tram Project in Lanzhou New Area is composed of both the first stage of Line 1 and the first stage of Line 2, with a total length of about 21.9km and 20 stations. The total project investment is about 2.646 billion yuan. The project will cover the main traffic corridor of Lanzhou New Area and focus on serving the comprehensive service zone, comprehensive bonded zone, and vocational education zone of the core urban area.

The Project is deemed as a milestone for Powerchina Huadong as it has made a firm step in railway transportation business.
