On the afternoon of June 6, 2017, a meeting was held to welcome the second batch of American interns in No. 4 Conference Room at No. 3 Building of Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, which officially started the practical study program of the second batch of American interns. The meeting was chaired by Liu Desheng, deputy director of Human Resources Department. Duan Xiaoping, vice president of Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, Wang Tao, the vice president of Planning and Development Institute, Fu Jingjing, vice president of Water and Environment Engineering Institute and the instructors appointed by the relevant departments attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, the two sides introduced each other. The representatives of the departments concerned gave a brief introduction to their respective business scope and work contents. Eight interns gave self-presentation using the carefully prepared PPT and expressed their goals of the practical study.

President Duan Xiaoping expressed his warm welcome to the American interns. He pointed out that the practical study program had been adjusted and upgraded based on the successful experience in providing practical study for the first batch of American interns, aiming to create more opportunities for American interns to understand and experience our corporate culture and working atmosphere in the two-month internship. President Duan wished all interns would get more communication in the departments, achieve their expectation of the internship and gain friendship and happiness by the interesting things encountered, being familiar with the city, the company and the staff, and gaining deeper understandings of cultural differences.
