On June 29, Jiande Sandu 20MWp Floating Photovoltaic Power Plant Demonstration Project was successfully put into grid-connected operation, and the significant strategic milestone goalof “June 30” of the project was realized as scheduled. The project, as the first floating photovoltaic power plant of POWERCHINA with independent intellectual property rights, is invested and constructed by Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited.

The project is located in Chunjiangyuan Fishpond in Sandu Town, Jiande. With a construction scale of 20MWp and a construction area of 419mu, it is a new-type water floating fishery-solar complementary photovoltaic power project. The project, as one of the largest floating photovoltaic power plants in China, will become POWERCHINA’s first water floating photovoltaic power plant with independent intellectual property rights after completion. The project is highlighted by overall use and 100% recovery of the environmentally friendly materials to ensure water quality safety, thus the project is of important demonstration significance. Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited participated in the research and development of the floating system applied in this project, and application for national patents has been successfully made for both the materials of the floating system and the structural system.

Meanwhile, the major milestone goals of “June 30” of both Tianchang Phase-1 100MWp Fishery-Solar Complementary Photovoltaic Power Project, and Changxing Phase-1 20MWp Fishery-solar Complementary Photovoltaic Power Demonstration Project of Huadong Engineering Corporation have been realized.
