Tianchang Phase I Fishing-Solar PV Complementary EPC Project Put into Commercial Operation

Tianchang Phase I 100MWp Fishing-Solar PV Complementary EPC Project was put into commercial operation on September 6, 2017. The Phase I Project of Tianchang 150MW Fishing-Solar PV Complementary Project occupies an area of about 1500mu, with an installed capacity of 100MW, adopting the mode of “power generating and fish farming at the same time”.

The Project used China’s first heterojunction double glass photovoltaic components and PERC high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar modules with photoelectric conversion efficiency up to 18.3% and 18.0%, respectively, and large span flat single shaft bracket of automatic tracking, which effectively increased the generated power. A 17.1km long 110kv transmission line and 37 standardized fishing ponds were constructed for the project, together with aquaculture infrastructure. The project maximized the use of land resources to achieve “land dual-use and integrated development”.

After the project completion, it will provide mean annual clean energy of 120 million kWh, save 3.52 million tons of standard coal per year, and reduce CO2 emission by 94,000 tons. The Project greatly developed and utilized the land resources, played a positive role in the comprehensive land development, environmental protection, farmer employment, and tourism of river network area, and realized a win-win situation of social, economic and environmental benefits.
