On December 14, 2017, the first unit of Guodian Zhoushan Putuo No.6 offshore wind farm investigated and designed by PowerChina Huadong was put into commercial operation. This project is the first offshore wind farm project in Zhejiang Province as well as the first offshore wind power project of GD Power Development Co., Ltd.
Guodian Putuo No.6 Offshore Wind Farm is located in the south waters of Liuheng Island, Putuo District, Zhoushan, with water depth of 12m to 16m and planned sea area of about 50km2. The total installed capacity is 252MW, namely 63 fans of 4.0MW each. The basic structure of the fan is a high-rise pile foundation. A 220kV step-up station is arranged on the sea, which is the ninth designed by PowerChina Huadong and the first step-up station constructed in the sea area with violent typhoon. Taking full consideration of the characteristics of “thick silt, big surges and strong typhoons” in the engineering area, PowerChina Huadong Hospital conducted targeted design and R&D and completed the design tasks with high quality in accordance with the characteristics of domestic materials and construction equipment and. It is exemplary for the construction of offshore wind farms in the typhoon waters of China.
