On November 16, 2017, No. 3 (DJHC8018) jack-up exploration platformof PowerChina Huadong launched smoothly. Mr. Fang Tao, vice president of PowerChina Huadong, Mr. Zhou Guanghui, director of Engineering Investigation and Survey Center, and Mr. Yang Huai, executive director of Zhejiang Huadong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., attended the launching ceremony and watched the whole process of launching.
The 29m long and 22m wide No.2 (DJHC8017) and No.3 (DJHC8018) jack-up exploration platforms of PowerChina Huadong have joined China Classification Society (CCS). The design draught is 2.5 m, the leg length is 56 m, and the maximum operating depth is 35 m. No.2 (DJHC8017) platform has been successfully launched on November 6. The two platforms are expected to be put into operation in mid-December. With the purchase and application of new marine exploration equipment, the two platforms will help ensure the completion of marine exploration projects, greatly upgrade offshore wind power exploration technology of PowerChina Huadong, and enhance the core competition of PowerChina Huadong in offshore exploration.
At the launching ceremony for No.3 (DJHC8018) platform, Mr. Fang Tao, delivered a speech on behalf of the shipowner. He thanked the general contractor for their hard work and hoped that the construction unit of the platform would continue to uphold the spirit of excellence in craftsmanship and strive to build a quality project and put across all construction tasks of the platform.
