On June 18, Vietnam Dau Tieng 500 MWp Solar PV Power Project was fully put into operation, whose EPC service was provided by HDEC. As the solar power station with largest installed capacity in Southeast Asia, Dau Tieng Solar Power serves as a landmark project that witnessed HDEC’s active role in leading the global energy revolution and its efforts to pursue the Belt and Road Initiate. The successful implementation of Dau Tieng Project made significant headway in the global energy construction.

Dau Tieng Project has earned itself high attention through the whole course from preliminary planning to construction period. In 2018, BHI website published “20 Most Influenced Overseas EPC Projects in 2018”, and Dau Tieng Solar Power was ranked in the first place as it is the largest Photovoltaic EPC project signed by Chinese enterprise abroad.

Dau Tieng Project is a non-typical solar PV project on water, featured by large quantity, technical difficulty, complex financing structures, tight schedule, varying construction conditions, resources difficulty in organization, intensive capital, etc. In response to complicated situations on site, the project team had made general management on a tight schedule and improved the supply chain integration based on the digital design and informationized management, through gathering outstanding enterprises in new energy sector at home and abroad; In order to reduce the operation difficulty on water, the team had firstly adopted multiple constructing equipment and techniques to promote the progress efficiently; Facing the complex financing mode and for meeting the strict requirement of foreign contractors as well as European monitoring team, the project team had showcased core competencies in techniques and management, excellent capabilities of resource integration, and problem solving skills in the life-cycle engineering course. During the whole process, the project team members always put the security on priority, and made quality and progress under control, so as to ensure the project is implemented successfully.

Besides Dau Tieng SPP, HDEC has a group of 10 solar power projects being implemented in Vietnam, with total installed capacity of 900 MWp, among which there is a floating PV power, the largest in SEA and first in Vietnam financed by Asia Development Bank, and also a series of PV power built on mountain land and sandy land. By the end of June 18 in 2019, all the projects has been put into commercial run in advance.
