Istanbul, Turkey, local time 19 o’clock of May 31, 2012, a contract of complete E&M equipment supply for Karakuz Hydropower Station was signed between HydroChina Huadong and ALTEK ALARKO ELEKTRİK SANTRALLERİ TESİS, İŞLETME VE TİC.A.Ş. Corporation.  Authorized by HydroChina Huadong, Mr. Zou Zengqiang, director of the Turkey Office, signed the contract.
Kazakuz Hydropower Station is located in Adana Province, a province in mid-southern Turkey and close to the Mediterranean Sea. It has a 12km long headrace tunnel and will be equipped with two Pelton turbine-generator units with rated head of 530m and rated output of 40.2MW. Kazakuz is currently the largest hydropower station of this kind in Turkey. The work scope of the Contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of E&M equipment of the turbine-generator units and the 154kV switchyard.
