After a week of contract negotiation, HydroChina Huadong reached an agreement with Harbin (Kunming) Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd. (HKEC) on the commercial and technical conditions of the turbine-generator unit procurement contract for Turkey Karabuz Hydropower Project. On June 12, on behalf of their respective companies, Mr. Duan Xiaoping, vice president of HydroChina Huadong and Mr. Xue Wei, general manager of HKEC, signed the contract.

Karabuz Hydropower Project has the largest Pelton turbine-generator unit in Turkey. With rich experience in manufacturing units of this kind, HKEC has advantages in terms of technology and performance guarantee. Therefore, the parties have complementary advantages and can conduct win-win cooperation in this project. The successful signing of the contract is a crucial step for the smooth implementation of the project.
