On June 20, 2012, Hangzhou, a signing ceremony was held for the procurement contract of turbine-generator units and auxiliary equipment of Zhejiang Xianju Pumped Storage Power Station, for which HYDROCHINA HUADONG undertakes investigation and design.

Located in Qiushan Township, Xianju, Zhejiang, the Xianju Pumped Storage Power Station is equipped with four 375MW pump storage units. They are currently the pumped storage units with largest unit capacity in China. The pump-turbines and auxiliary equipment of this station are designed and supplied by Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited, while the generator motors and auxiliary equipment are designed and supplied by Dongfang Electric Machinery CO., LTD. of Dongfang Electric Corporation. The signing of this contract marks a new stage of the construction of Xianju Pumped Storage Power Station.
