On the afternoon of August 29, 2012, Danang, Vietnam, over ten experts and leaders from Vietnam Electricity (EVN) attended the acceptance meeting for the seepage treatment project for the dam structural joints of Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Station in the meeting room of Hydropower Project Management Board No. 3. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Tran Van Duoc, deputy general manager of EVN. The experts listened to the reports made by Tran Van Hai, director of Hydropower Project Management Board No. 3, and Lv Lianya, manager of Song Tranh 2 HPP of Zhejiang Huadong Engineering Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. Subject to treatment, the seepage reduction rate of the ten structural joints has reached 99.9%, much higher than 80% as required in the contract. In which, maximum water leakage from single joint has decreased from 21.8L/s prior to treatment to the present 0.003L/s, the treatment effects fully meet and are much better than the requirements of the contract and the expected targets have been fulfilled. The experts and the representatives of the Project Owner, the Designer and the Supervisor are all satisfied with the treatment effects and the project has smoothly passed acceptance.
