The reservoir impounding ceremony of Longkaikou Hydropower Station was held at the viewing stand on the left bank of the project on November 25, 2012. The gates of 1 # and 2 # diversion bottom outlets were closed respectively at about 10:00 a.m. and about 19:00 p.m. The closure process was smooth and the site was in normal condition, thus the reservoir impoundment of the power station turned out a complete success.

The leaders from the Longkaikou Project Department of Hydrochina Huadong and the construction parties concerned attended the ceremony. The successful reservoir impounding marks one more milestone achievement of Longkaikou Hydropower Station, and lays a solid foundation for the power generation of the first unit at the end of 2012.
