The annual meeting of Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) was held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, on November 24-25, 2012. The conference theme is “Enhancing Intra-COMESA Trade through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development”. The attendees include heads from each member country, and leaders from African organizations and representatives from invited countries. The representative in East Africa of Hydrochina Huadong attended the meeting.

Generally, there are poor infrastructure and weak power grids in African countries, and now, along with the fast development of the African economy, the energy demand of each country is increasing rapidly and the infrastructure construction is also in full swing. During the meeting, the Hydrochina Huadong representative in East Africa made introduction on its main business and advantages to the trade ministers of Kenya, Rwanda and Seychelles, as well as Malawi foreign affairs and international cooperation minister, and expressed an interest in project contracting and investment in the fields of new energy, power transmission and transformation, and urban and environment construction, etc. The ministers expressed their admiration for Hydrochina Huadong’s technical strength, overseas performance and the achievements obtained in Africa, and hoped that Hydrochina Huadong can serve as a bridge between their countries and the Chinese government and the banks to support their energy construction and economic development. The talks were conducted in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, which has created a good condition for brand marketing of Hydrochina Huadong.
