In the brief and tense two hours from 23: 30 on Jan. 31 to 1:30 on Feb. 1, 2018, a series of switching operations were completed successively in HAWA and JPL wind farms in Pakistan under the witness of the personnel from National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) and Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA). Two 132 kV step-up substations formed a “hand-in-hand” operation mode and inversely feeding was successfully completed. The construction of HAWA and JPL projects was formally started on Nov. 2 and Dec. 19, 2016 respectively. There was a short time interval between their commencement and they are geographically close to each other. To make better use of limited resources, the same project management team was in charge of the two projects. The project department optimized the allocation of resources, refined the project management, and took various measures to deal with problems. As a result, the electrical tests required by NTDC were completed on Dec. 19 and Dec. 27, 2017, respectively, and the conditions for receiving electricity were available.
