Job Overview:
The Logistics Commercial Manager is responsible for managing logistics-related and engineering international trade activities within middle east region, and controlling and transaction of the International transportation, Customs clearance, Inspection, Supervision, Settlement, Negotiation and Communication under the EPC Contract under the established cost, schedule, safety.
Typical Duties:
· Manage and supervise international transportation of shipments to project sites;
· Define and establish the logistics operational structure, optimize it, and control its efficiency;
· Utilize specific knowledge of the international transportation logistics market, trends and capabilities to identify areas for cost reduction and saving opportunities;
· Responsibilities include communication of international transportation plans and process with stakeholders and insurance providers;
· Manages vendor selection process including signing subcontract based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability to ensure compliance with HDEC’s Procurement Policy;
· Implements/manages processes and controls around the procurement of logistics services, evaluate and manage project cost for international transportation logistics – ensuring budgets are maintained and balanced;
· Create plans and ensure safety procedures and protocol are followed by the transportation logistics individuals through evaluation of monthly KPI measurements;
· Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers and communicate and resolve scheduling issues by working with customers and vendors;
· Establishes and updates an approved vendor database. Identifies and sources new suppliers and vendors as needed, maintain professional relationships with multiple vendors;
· Deal with the negotiation and communication on the settlement and shipping terms with the customers under EPC Contract.
· Works with department leadership to ensure other job related duties as assigned is completed;
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in International transportation/logistics Management/ Supply Chain Management;
· Minimum of 2 years of logistics and/or international trade management experience in EPC and/or Engineering Industry;
· Demonstrates a broad knowledge of t logistics management;
· Able to effectively communicate commercial solutions and concepts to Customers, Venders, stakeholders, procurement, non-procurement personnel and relevant stakeholders etc.;
· Familiar with engineering procurement procedures, standards, and codes;
· Skillful with Microsoft Office;
· Fluent English communication skills.
Desired/Preferred Qualification:
· 5 to 10 years of domestic and/or international transportation, logistics or trade experience as a Project Logistics Commercial Manager in a global EPC company executing contracts in energy and infrastructure, such as Hydropower, Solar Power, Wind power, Power Transmission and traffic construction, etc.;
· Possess good negotiating skills;
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
