HDEC entered the Indonesian market in 2012, established a representative office in Indonesia in 2014, and established a BUT office in 2017 to undertake EPC projects. The Indonesian branch mainly focuses on hydropower projects and renewable energy projects such as photovoltaic, wind power and geothermal energy. It also carries out projects in various fields such as water affairs and transportation. Up to now, HDEC has won 12 bids in Indonesia and has accumulated nearly 260 million US dollars in signed and implemented contract amounts. It has built or participated in several iconic projects in Indonesia, such as Batang Toru 510MW Hydropower Project (largest hydropower project under construction in Indonesia) and Cirata 192MWp Floating Photovoltaic Project (largest solar power project in Southeast Asia).
