At 8 am on April 19, after working for more than 30 hours, the world ’s first large-diameter single pile-barrel composite foundation independently designed by HDEC was successfully implemented in the second phase of Putian Pinghai Bay Wind Farm. The level of barrel is controlled within 1 ‰ during the whole sinking process under pressure, which is considered to have reached the international leading level. It signifies that HDEC provides another innovative solution for offshore wind power construction under complex rock foundation geological conditions, following the design of large-diameter rock-embedded single pile foundation.
The large-diameter single pile-barrel composite foundation has obtained the first national invention patent authorization in 2015. After years of concentrating on research and development, it has defeated a number of technical difficulties from points to faces. Multiple core technological patents have been made focusing on “Deformation Prediction and Control Technology of New Type Large-diameter Single-pile Barrel Composite Foundation under Long Term Cyclic Load”, “Large Diameter Pile-Barrel-Soil Coupling Bearing Mode and Failure Mechanism Analysis Technology”, “Stiffness Control Technology of Super-large Diameter Flexible Steel Barrel and Design Technology of Ribbed Beam Support System”, “Pressure Sinking Control Strategy and Design Technology of Monitoring System for Super-large Diameter Barrels", “Design and Analysis Technology for Large Diameter Pile-Barrel Connection System” etc. The successful design and implementation of this foundation have solved a series of geological problems such as shallow overburden of rock-based seabed, uneven stratum distribution, rock-embedded construction difficulty, long period and high risk.
The research was financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province. Through the extensive analysis and model tests carried out by HDEC offshore wind power technical team in the preliminary phase, under the strong support provided by the Owner Fujian Zhongmin Offshore Wind Power Co. Ltd and the Model Worker Guan Chunguang’s Workshop, and fully cooperated by the construction unit CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd, the project was successfully applied for the first time in Pinghai Bay.
Over the years, HDEC has continuously made exploration on the technology of offshore wind power, established Huadong Offshore Wind Power Technology R&D Center, and was approved as the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Wind Power Technology Research. More than 20 post-doctors led the scientific research team, carried out a large number of scientific researches, solved many key technical problems, and designed and built dozens of offshore wind power projects under complex conditions. The grid-connected capacity of wind power designed and contracted by HDEC reached 5,000 MW million, exceeding the national grid-connected capacity by 80%. The project has been listed in more than ten major national R&D programs, key project and general project of the National Natural Science Foundation, Youth Fund, and Zhejiang Provincial Scientific Research Funds. O-Wind, an offshore wind power full life cycle smart service platform, provides customized and intelligent services for industry supervision, project planning, construction, and O&M, which has become our influential brand.
