Largest Offshore Booster Station Hoisted in Zhejiang Province
Date:2020-06-24

On May 28, in Zheneng Jiaxing No. 1 Offshore Wind Farm in Hangzhou Bay, the white offshore booster station was firmly landed on the jacket foundation, marking the success of the booster station hoisting of the Zheneng Jiaxing No. 1 Offshore Wind Farm Project, which was contracted by the joint venture between HDEC and Zhejiang Electric Power Construction Co., LTD. As the largest offshore booster station in Zhejiang Province, the project is another milestone achieved since the work was resumed after the breakout of COVID-19, laying a solid foundation for the wind farm to achieve grid-connected power generation within the year.

Zheneng Jiaxing No. 1 Offshore Wind Farm covers an area of about 48 KM2, with a planned installed capacity of 300 MW, and a 220 kV offshore booster station and an onshore metering station were built along. It is currently the largest offshore wind power project under construction in Zhejiang Province. HDEC undertakes the investigation and design for Zheneng Jiaxing No. 1 offshore wind farm project and the EPC contract of the booster station. The design team of HDEC made 30 improvements in geological survey, civil engineering, offshore engineering, electricity, HVAC, water supply and drainage in the fields of "wind turbine", "investigation", "offshore booster station", " wind turbine foundation" and "onshore metering station".

As one of the key engineering projects in Zhejiang Province, EPC project team pays close attention to epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work, and organizes all parties involved to promote the construction progress of the project in an efficient, fast and flexible manner. Due to the limited construction equipment and tight schedule, the project team made coordination with various parties to discuss and formulate construction plans.

After the project is fully completed and put into commercial run, the annual average on-grid electricity can be reached to more than 870 million kWh, saving around 282,000 tons of coals per year. This project has a very positive role in promoting the adjustment of the energy structure at provincial level, building a clean energy demonstration province and advancing the development of the offshore wind power industry of the province.
