Pakistani Artistic Wind Power Project Enters Commercial Run
Date:2022-02-18

Pakistan, Feb 15 - At 4:30 p.m., the Artistic project in Pakistan successfully passed the 168-hour reliability operation Test (RRT) of wind farms stipulated in the Electricity Purchase Agreement (EPA), witnessed by Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), Indie Engineer (IE), Owner, Supervisor, HDEC Project Team, Goldwind, and operation & maintenance team. During the trial operation, the utilization rate of the wind project was as high as 99.93%, setting a new record for the utilization rate of HDEC’s wind power project in Pakistan during the trial operation.

The Artistic project, officially started on July 20, 2020, is the first one to enter the commercial operation among the total ten projects that started construction at the same time in Pakistan under the new round of electricity price policy. The installed capacity of the project is 50MW, using 20 sets of Goldwind 2.5MW units, with the fan hub at height of 90 m and the wind wheel in 121 m diameter. The social environment where the project is located is complicated, and the epidemic COVID-19 is also very serious. As a group of wind power projects started at the same time, construction resources around the project were extremely scarce, which also brought great challenges to project implementation. However, under the guidance and help of various departments of HDEC and unified coordination of project team, the Artistic project team focused on epidemic prevention and control on one hand, safety production on the other and eventually overcame all obstacles along the way and achieved the final victory.

Besides, ACT2 Project and Indus Project of the project group will enter trial operation at the end of February, the remaining seven projects are also now eligible for reverse power transmission and will be powered on and commissioned. The WTG hoisting work of the project group will also be fully completed in early March.

The previous achievements are hard earned, and we will still be open for new incoming challenges and opportunities. All members of the Pakistan Wind Power Project Group will seize the time and strive for a comprehensive victory in the near future!
