On August 8, Ms. Nyirugoro Dansil, Governor of the Northern Province of Rwanda, visited Nabarongue River II Hydropower Station with her government attaché and military representatives. The project manager and the deputy general manager of Rwanda Energy Development Group (REDG), Mr. Enysent, accompanied the visit.

Firstly, Ms. Dancille and her delegation visited the construction site of the diversion hole, rubble pile and road around the dam, and then returned to the project camp to listen to the progress report of the project. Ms. Dancille, who visited the project site for the first time since the groundbreaking ceremony on May 21 this year, said that the project was progressing very well, and that the project had provided a lot of employment opportunities for local residents and boosted the local economy, and that the project would greatly improve the environment for local residents in terms of electricity, transportation and agricultural production. The provincial government will concentrate all efforts to fully support the construction of the project and work together to build a very successful project.

The project manager said that the project will make every effort to complete the project with high quality, coordinate the project resources, accelerate the construction progress, and make positive contributions to the construction of people's livelihood in Rwanda.
