Date:2023-07-25

On July 20, with the careful coordination and cooperation of all parties, the maiden flight ceremony of the first batch of 12 wind turbines of Monsoon 600MW mountain wind power project in Laos was successfully held at Changshu Port in Suzhou. Relevant leaders and representatives of project participants attended the ceremony.

At the meeting, all parties expressed their firm determination to make Monsoon project a benchmark for wind power projects with China's speed and China's quality, and the beautiful vision of further deepening cooperation and mutual benefit between all parties.

This batch of units were loaded and transported to the port of Thailand by ship "Ming Qin", and then transferred to the site of Monsoon project by land. This shipment is an important engineering progress node of the Monsoon project, which will inject strong impetus into the smooth progress of the project and the development of renewable energy in Southeast Asia.

After the completion of the project, it will transmit power to the central region of Vietnam through 500kV transmission lines, which can effectively alleviate the power shortage in the central region of Vietnam. The project is also the first time for Laos to achieve cross-border transmission of new energy electricity, which will help Laos further realize the vision of "Southeast Asia battery" and contribute to tackling climate change and global low-carbon development.
