At 13:00 on September 1, 2024, with the operation instruction of "Turn the pole and stop the hook" from the on-site high-altitude command, the third blade of the WA412 machine position was steadily inserted into the hub. The Lao Monsoon 600MW mountain wind power project contracted by HDEC has completed the hoisting of 100 wind turbines cumulatively. The successful completion of this important milestone provides a strong guarantee for the smooth advancement of the project and its connection to the grid for power generation.
The 600MW mountain wind power project in Monsoon, Laos is located in the tropical monsoon climate area. The wind season is from November to January of the following year, and the rainy season lasts for six months every year. The terrain of the site is steep, the transportation roads are full of bends and steep slopes, and the space of the hoisting platform is limited, which brings great challenges to the transportation and hoisting of wind turbines.
Facing the complex and changeable natural environment and construction challenges, the project team, with their rich experience and innovative spirit, successfully overcame numerous difficulties. By taking measures such as analyzing and planning in advance the impact of different working conditions during the windy and rainy seasons on the hoisting of wind turbines, optimizing the hoisting plan, and implementing meticulous management, they successfully completed the hoisting of 100 wind turbines within just over 10 months, exceeding the set goals.
The smooth implementation of the project is inseparable from the support of leaders at all levels of Huadong Institute and the joint efforts of each subcontracting unit. In the future, the project department will continue to uphold the enterprise spirit of "responsibility, efficiency and excellence", fully promote the follow-up construction of the Mengsong Wind Power Project, and do everything for the installation, commissioning of the substation and collector lines, and the smooth grid connection and power generation of the project.
The project is in the final sprint to achieve full completion and commissioning as soon as possible, contributing more to promoting the development of new energy and regional green power cooperation in Laos and even the entire Southeast Asia region.
